Can't use the First/Last row in an Excel Scope

I’ve been looking several topics dealing about it but all of it is a workaround.
And my objective is to state whether it’s a bug or not.

Honestly, I’ve been trying this several times.
Either there’s something I’m missing either it’s not working.

So what’s the problem ?

It can’t find the column I’m looking for.
The goal right after that is to use the row index to append a new date.

I’m a bit surprised that it seems to be kinda overkill since you already specify the column name.

But yeah I guess that’s where the script starts into that column.
