Can't run old codes on new version of UiPath

So

We have “old” version of UiPath software and due to firewall it was never updated. Development is done on the new version and it seems that the old version cant compile new version of the code even when not using any of the new activites and similar.

Can I have a confirmation on this?

Your title is contradictory to your description. Anyways yes you can run old codes on new version but not vice versa. I hope you are talking about the Community Edition the beta version to be specific which has been released few days back
