Cannot Add Robot In Orchestrator With Domain\Username. Error "There Already Exists A Floating Robot For Domain\Username! (#1001)"

Issue:

Cannot Add Robot In Orchestrator With Domain\Username. Error "There Already Exists A Floating Robot For Domain\Username! (#1001)"

Description:

This error occurs when trying to provision a Robot account and to setup the Unattended Robot by providing the Username and Password.

There are 2 scenarios when this error message is generated:

  1. When User is signed into UiPath Assistant using Interactive Sign In

  • When you have signed into the UiPath Assistant with a User account with Interactive Sign In
  • Now, when you try to provision a robot account for the same user and try giving in the Username and password, this error pops up

2. When the Domain name exceeds 15 character limit

  • The machine name has more than 15 characters. The NetBIOS computer name or machine name can be between 1 and 15 characters long.
  • Rename the machine names to keep them under 15 characters.
