Cannot access application 'credentialuibroker.exe'. Elevated privileges might be required. Try running the UiPath application as an administrator

Getting following error while execution of the use cases

Cannot access application ‘credentialuibroker.exe’. Elevated privileges might be required. Try running the UiPath application as an administrator

@Rampure_Sachin

Looks like the exe you started is running in admin mode or with elevated permissions…you might need to close studio..right click on studio icon and select run as admin then it would work

cheers

Hi @rampure_sachin,

I faced this once and it turned out to be a permissions issue with Windows Credential Manager.

A few things worth checking:

• Try running UiPath Studio/Assistant as Administrator and test again.
• If it’s a company laptop, security policies sometimes block credentialuibroker.exe, so IT may need to allow it.
• Repairing the UiPath installation also helped in our case (run installer → Repair → restart).
• Also try logging out and back into Assistant/Orchestrator once if you’re using modern folders/credentials.

Usually this error is environment/permission related rather than workflow related.

Hi @Rampure_Sachin

Close UiPath Studio and Assistant completely, then right-click the UiPath icon and select Run as administrator.

The bot needs admin rights to interact with system windows like credentialuibroker.exe. If the target app is running with higher permissions than the bot, Windows will block the access.

I think there was an update on servers so you are getting this.some policies may heen been updated..

Reach out to your admin and get it allowed
