Can we read/write excel files with Libre office?

I am having Libre office installed. I am not able to read the excel file . Can anybody tell is it necessary to have office 365 installed at my end ?

Not necessary . You can use read/write activity under workbook activity tab.

The one you used “excel scope” need excel to be installed.
Workbook activities need not .
I means to say these activities as shown below.

converting excel into csv and reading and manipulation works ? I don’t know I am naive too…
