Can someone explain the "UiPath - Uni - Basic - Named User" license

Hi,

I checked the “UiPath - Uni - Basic - Named User” in UiPath Licensing. However, I find there is a business rule that I don’t quite understand. This is “* Can only run automations developed by Plus User. The user cannot run automations developed in Pro User.”

Starting with the 2025 version, UiPath has unified Studio and StudioX. Therefore, I assume that processes developed under a Plus User license are fully compatible and can be executed by a Basic User license. Could you confirm if this is correct?

Regards,
Chinh Le

Hi @Chinh_Le

They can run your work only if it’s kept simple. If you use the full features of a Pro license, a Basic license won’t be enough to execute it.

It’s good to check with the customer portal by raising a ticket because very less or none documentation available regarding this SKU. Cheers!!

Hi @Chinh_Le

From the UiPath Licensing documentation, the “UiPath – Uni – Basic – Named User” has the business rule:

“Can only run automations developed by Plus User. The user cannot run automations developed in Pro User.” [licensing.uipath.com]

This statement comes directly from UiPath’s official licensing page.
It remains valid even after the 2025 Studio/StudioX unification, because the rule is tied to license tier, not the Studio profile.
