Can I create new folder in Insights?

Can I create a new folder in UiPath Insights?
Currently, I only see these three folders:

  • My Dashboard
  • Tenant
  • UiPath Templates

I need to create an additional folder besides these three.

Then, I want to place specific dashboards inside that newly created folder and give certain users permission to view only that particular dashboard.

I

Unfortunately no we can’t create.

User permissions can be only managed to these levels not the report level.

Why is there another folder in this image?

Alternatively, I want to hide My Dashboard and UiPath Templates, and display only one dashboard inside Tenant.

Hi @Munkhnasan_G

I think you cannot create a new folder in Insights and you cannot hide the default folders.
Create the required dashboard inside the Tenant folder and use the Share option to grant view access only to specific users or groups, controlling visibility through role-based permissions at the dashboard level.

I haven’t found the way for this and also any documentation so it’s not possible for now.

Hi @Munkhnasan_G

PFB my inputs:

  1. No, we can’t create any other folder than what is already available. Those are in-built folders and UiPath has not provided any ability yet to be able to create any more folders in there.

  2. If you want users to only view certain dashboards, then you can have those moved into tenant folder, then only users in that tenant would be able to view the dashboards. To further restrict the view, provide “Viewer” role to only specific users to whom you want to share your dashboard with. That way, even though dashboard are at tenant level, not all users in that tenant would be able to view the same.

  3. My dashboard section is specific to all users. Dashboards you have in your “my dashboard” section can’t be viewed by aby other user even if they have “viewer” access enabled. Think of it as personal workspace similar to what we have in orchestrator.

  4. You can’t hide UiPath templates for users who have view access. But they wont be able to create any dashboards using these templates unless they have designer role.

Hope this helps.
