Can an attended bot run inside a VM without the user opening an RDP session?

Currently we have an attended bot which is meant to be run inside a VM (virtual machine). The automated process involves downloading and uploading of PDFs via websites (S4Hana, Ariba).

We found that the bot only runs successfully when the user has first manually opened an RDP session window/connection from their laptop. Then if the Remote Desktop window is closed halfway (or laptop is locked), the bot would stop running too.

Is there any way for the attended bot to run without the user first having to open an RDP session manually?

Attended bots are meant to be run when the session is active.

If you want to run the bot without opening you need to be using an Unattended bot instead
