Buy new robots to exist account

Hi Everone:
We have One server with the hostname “RV-UiPath,” hosting two virtual machines:

VM1 name (bot1): in this VM we have Our current license includes one unattended robot, Orchestrator, Action Center, and Document Understanding, which we are using for our main project consisting of three parts, we intend to purchase another robot to run the project for 24H without impacting the existing setup.

VM2 name (bot2), we aim to acquire a separate robot for OTHER projects, ensuring no interference with the current scenario.

We seek your advice on the following inquiries:
1-Can we use the same Orchestrator instance and purchase two additional robots under the same account? Can we then install each new robot on separate machines with new separate studio?
2-Do we need to create new user accounts for each additional robot?
3-Alternatively, should we set up a new Orchestrator instance with separate user accounts for each robot and install a new UiPath Studio on each machine?

  1. Yes you can buy additional licenses and tag to same orchestrator
  2. Yes you need to create different users for each robot
  3. You dont need a separate orchestrator for that…the same can be used

If I add 3 robots to the same Orchestrator instance, can I download UiPath Studio with UiPath Assistant on 3 machines and have each robot work simultaneously without any issues? Especially if it’s the same server containing 3 VMs? Additionally, can each robot in this situation have the same hostname as the machine name?

It can run 3 yes…if your server supports multiple logins then yes …generally windows servers do support 6 to 10 logins dependi by on its capacity

Coming to hostname…ideally the machine can be same…username and hostnames would be different as each user will have differnet host but same machine

I appreciate your answers, but forgive me I want to be clear on this, we have one server and one hostname content 3 VM with different names, do you mean that will affect and we should have 3 machines with different hostnames and machine names?

If you have 3 vms it would not effect…

Do you have 3 users also? …one user cannot be used in multiple machines at the same time

I hope this more clear about my situation and sorry again for any bother:
we have one user and studio downloaded on the server (hostname) and using the VM name (k1).
I want now to buy two more robots to run all of them in the same time on different machines on the same server and hostname.
I know I have to add each new robot under each user in the same orchestrator.
but if already the studio and UiPath assistant downloaded on the server and connected with the orchestrator with the machine(k1), after I buy the 2 robots can we download a new studio with UiPath assistant in each machine, or should have a different server and hostname?

Machine template supports multiple users for same machine also…

Till you have license and associated users you can download any number

One question here is does your server support multiple logins at same time…check that and if it does then we are good
