Buttons in Excel menu bar not recognized

Using MS Excel (from MS Office 365 ProPlus). Trying to make the Robot either recognize (Element Exist) or click (Click) any one of the tabs in the menu bar.

Both activity highlights a cell (last cell the focus was on prior to the activity) in the spreadsheet. Any idea why it is doing it, and what the work around is?

I recommend you to use shortcut keys to select tab options (Send hotkey activity)

Thanks for the reply sir. I did try to use “Send Hotkey” activity to click the tabs (or buttons) in the menu bar. Same results.

I find it curious though that it was able to recognize the buttons within the tabs in the menubar. Be it using Element Exist, Click or Send Hotkey.
