Bug: Unable to Add/Edit Annotations_Grayed Menu

Periodically, when I want to add an annotation, Studio X allows me to right click>Annotations, but then the Add Annotation and/or Edit Annotation is grayed out. The only remedy is that I close out of UiPath and come back in. It allows only one annotation to be added then repeats the same bug issue. The close out and re-enter into UiPath is time consuming. I have heard others state they have had the same experience. I am on the latest release.

I’ve tried reproíng this on a couple of workflows but wasn’t able to do so. I have a few follow up questions:

  • The latest version is 23.10 or 23.12?
  • Does it happen on specific activities or on certain projects?
  • Do you have a sample project you can share with us so we can investigate this further?

Our UiPath platform had a server issue and as a result we had to update Windows and Chrome to the latest version last night. I was working in the UiPath project mentioned in my ticket today and the add annotation issue was resolved. I can add and edit now on multiple activities. I know that you mentioned that others are having a similar problem. You might want to determine if they have the latest version of the Windows and Chrome because it fixed the issue for me.
