BUG ? Add Activity Not Working!

Studio Version: 2019.10.1 Community Edition

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

I am unable to add activity in the workflow using the plus(+) icon that shows up while hovering in between the activities.

In the studio, I have 2 tabs open: Main and say, A.

In A I have 2 activities. Now, I want to add an activity in between these 2 activites. I click on plus (+) icon in between these activities. As soon as I click plus icon, I am directed to the Main workflow and I can see the search bar open to search the activity I want. Now I search “If” and select that. After I click on that, nothing happens. I don’t see “If” activity added anywhere.

So 2 points to note:

  1. On click of add activity plus icon in workflow A, why did it switch to Main workflow?
  2. Even after I selected the activity, it didn’t add to my workflow.

Please see the below video to give you a clear picture. (Just take off the “.txt” from the file and play)

If you could please take a look into this. Kindly let me know if you see any issue in the way I executed the steps.

Thanks in advance.

once you click + button a list of activity will display type the activity and click enter, it will be inserted

Thanks

Sorry @Srini84 Sir. I don’t think you read my description completely.

Whether I click via mouse or hit ENTER key, the activity is not added.

Oh Ok, Usually it will add, can you check is the workflow is in read only mode by any chance.

Thanks

I verified, the files are not in read-only mode.

I opened the project just an hour ago, so we can rule out the point of UiPath kept open for long that may cause this unexpected behavior.
Also to add, this is not the behavior when I restart the project or start a fresh project. But it is still a bug to me.

Hi @Siddarth_Nair,
Are you able to edit first post and add there some screenshots showing the problem? It will be easier to investigate.

Thanks @Pablito for your reply.

I have edited the description and attached a video to give you a clear picture. Due to site restrictions I have made it to a text file. Just remove the “.txt” from the file and play. Thanks!

Thank you very much  I corrected it by converting it to gif file which can be used as a attachment. I recommend ScreenToGif application
