Browser change is making the bot take longer to run

Hi Team,
My team recently changed our bots to run on chrome and one of the project it was massaging a excel spread sheet in the back end. When the bot was running on IE the data massaging would take 2 min and now on chrome is takes 40min. Does anyone know why?
