I’m trying to download UI Path studio, locally. First, maybe i don’t even need to do that but goal is to use bots on my local machine. I try to download and i get a message that states, “Connection failed: Cannot acquire a license.” then a learn more link. When that is selected, it takes me to a page that has the error. It states, " Cause:
You are trying to sign in but your user is not properly configured to acquire a license from Orchestrator.
Solution: In Orchestrator, edit the current user, make sure the option to create an attended robot for the user is selected, and select a developer license type for which a license is available. You can check license availability by going to Tenant > License.
I have tried and failed many times and so let me run through specifics.
- Machine Configuration:
- I have a “George Serverless” machine set-up as a “Cloud Robot - Serverless.”
- This machine is associated with the “Shared” folder, which means it should be available for use with unattended robots.
- Robot Configuration:
- I have a “George_UnattendedBot” robot set up as an unattended robot.
- The robot is also associated with the “Shared” folder, which should make it available for use with the “George Serverless” machine.
- License Issue:
- When I check the “License: Production (Unattended)” section, there are no machines listed, suggesting that the “George Serverless” machine might not have the unattended license assigned.
- Despite the machine and robot being correctly associated with the “Shared” folder, there seems to be an issue with applying the unattended license or linking the robot to the machine. I don’t even know how to link the robot to the machine, because I don’t see that option available?
