Hi community,
I’ve successfully built and published an attended automation using UiPath. The automation runs flawlessly on my machine via UiPath Assistant with no errors.
The issue arises when trying to share this automation with another user (Nathan), so he can run it from his own machine via UiPath Assistant.
Here’s where we are:
• The automation is fully functional and published from my account.
• I added Nathan to my UiPath organization.
• He accepted the invitation and logged into UiPath Assistant.
• He downloaded the desktop assistant and Chrom extensions
• He confirmed that he selected my organization when logging in in the desktop assistant.
• He even opened the RPA sequence from the Web Studio and publish/deployed the automation with no issues.
• However, the automation does not appear in his Assistant like it does after I publish/deploy.
• When attempting to launch it via deep link as an alternative (me copying the automation link and sharing it directly with Nathan), he receives a “Permission required” error.
• His Assistant either shows no automations or denies access.
From my side, it appears that he is properly added and part of the organization, but he still cannot see or execute the automation.
We would like guidance on the correct way to deploy and share attended automations so another user can run them via UiPath Assistant.
Specifically:
• What permissions, roles, or folder assignments are required?
• Is additional robot or Assistant configuration needed?
• Is there a specific deployment model required for attended automations shared between users?
The goal is simply for him to open UiPath Assistant and run the automation that I published.
Hi @ALI_SHARAF,
Is the solution is deployed into a shared folder instead of personal workspace?
Also, check that you assigned Nathan proper attended license
Confirm that the Nathan is added to folder?
Hope these will help to understand the issue
Thanks,
Srini
I’m completely new to UiPath, so I’m not sure how to answer this question. Could you walk me through on how to move the solution in to a shared folder before addressing the other questions which I also need to clarify? Thanks.
Hi @ALI_SHARAF
Welcome to UiPath forum!!
-
Check Nathan is having folder access tenant—> folder —> manage access —> assign user Nathan
-
Check Nathan has attended robot license
-
The process must me created under the folder
Orchestrator —> folder—> automation—>process
Simple why permissions required is coming either he doesn’t have access to folder or he is trying to run the bot from your id which is not possible
Check above points and let me know

Hi @muthuraman.g
I have tried to give Nathan every role available (for now)
Yes, the process is in this folder
As for the license, I’m not sure about that. But for now, I’d appreciate it if you let me know if I’m on the right track.
- go to tenant → robots → check if the user is displayed with robot as attended
- Also roles are fine. The process needs to be in shared folder ( basically any other folder other than personal workspace
cheers
Yes you are on it.
For license you can assign from here
Admin → organization(It will your org name) → Licenses then check attended bot license availability
To assign the license → use license allocate to users → add his email id there.
Refer the snap
Now assign the folder access follow the below setps
Add the folder access.
It should fix your issue. Please keep update the status.
If its fixed mark as resolved.

hey @Anil_G thanks for jumping in. I checked his robot and its atteneded.
As for the process itself, it’s actually in the workspace, so, how do I move it from there to the shared folder? I really tried moving it but I couldn’t seem to find the option which would allow me to do so. thanks.
hey @muthuraman.g , thanks for responding.
Below a screenshot, i managed to add them and give them license
Currently working on the assigning the access folder. I’ll keep you posted. thanks
@muthuraman.g
Check this out!
His id is already having the folder access
Still he is unable to run the bot?
I’m still waiting for him to confirm but he’s not in office rn, I guess I’ll have to wait.
But by the looks of it, he should be able to do it, thanks to you and the other contributors.
I’ll let you know as soon as I find out. Thanks again
you just need to create process in shared folder ..you cannot move..just go there create process and select the required package
if package is not found..publish from studio and in publish options publish to shared feed isnted of personal feed
cheers
@muthuraman.g
sorry for the late response but this is when Nathan got back to me. He was able to successfully run the automation sequence.
How do I mark this as solved?
Hi @ALI_SHARAF
