Queries on IP of cloud robot VM

Resolution:

<Question> How to find the IP of the cloud robot VM?

<Answer> To find the IP of the cloud robot VM, enable Remote Desktop for the cloud VM from Orchestrator -> Tenant -> Machines -> Machine pool -> Add or Manage VMs -> Choose the VM -> Enable Remote Desktop. This will populate the public IP of the cloud VM. The VM needs to be running state to get a valid public IP.

<Question> Is it a Static IP or Dynamic IP?

<Answer> The public IP of the cloud robot VM is static and should not change with a reboot.

<Question> What is the Access IP?

<Answer> The Access IP is the IPv4 address of the machines used to access the VM. It is the IP of the machine from where currently accessing the Automation Cloud and gets automatically populated. Orchestrator recognizes only IPv4 address types. If an IPv6 address type is detected, an error message is displayed, and a pop-up window prompts to enter the corresponding IPv4 address. One way to find out what the IPv4 address is to check it on this website.

<Question> Is there a specific range of IP addresses from which the cloud VM will obtain its IP address?

<Answer> At the moment, there is no predetermined range of static outbound IP for ACR-VM. Once the IP is allocated and is Static, it can be used as a reference. However, there is no IP range or pool of addresses to be used prior to creating the ACR-VM machines.
