Automating with Document Understanding: Processing I9 Forms

We are going to describe an automation that can be build in StudioWeb.

Context: What mundane task are we to automate?

The automation is being created by an employee in the Human Resources department. Working in an HR department, they frequently have to register new employees as taxpayers. Therefore, they receive the new employee ID via email and then fill out Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9).

From here, they need to retrieve the personal information, validate that it coincides in both the form & the id of the new employee and input that data into Workday.

Alternatively, or additionally, they may archive I9 form to OneDrive or GDrive for future purposes.

Let’s see how to create an automation that will automate transferring the validated information from the attachments into Workday.
