Automatic Studio Web update

Hello,

My UiPath Studio Web started updating itself without my permission. After it reappeared, when I open it, it closed unexpectedly and disappeared again. Then I downloaded the new version from UiPath cloud.

The problem now is that:

  • All my existing .xaml files now show a white icon, and I have to use Open With → UiPath Studio to open them instead of opening normally.
  • When I create new processes, they also appear as white icons in their folders.

I would like to know:

  1. Why did this happen?
  2. How can I restore UiPath Studio so that it works normally and my .xaml files show the correct icons?

for once go to any xaml..right click → proeprties → you will see open with ..there click on change and select UiPath

The reason your .xaml files are showing a white icon is that UiPath Studio lost its Windows file association after the update.

To fix it:

Option 1 (Recommended):
Go to Settings → Apps → Default apps → Choose default apps by file type, find .xaml, and assign UiPath Studio to it.

Option 2:
Right-click any .xaml file → Open with → Choose another app → select UiPath Studio → check Always use this app to open .xaml files.
