Automatic Ordering of components & Creation of POs in SAP

Use Case Description

A robot needs to be developed to automatically order components and create POs , which is currently done manually.

Receive Purchase Orders information by running a snowflake query directly into UiPath data table. We run the process for each record and update the status of each record back into snowflake for real time tracking.

Detailed steps are given below :

  1. Read config file for basic details like , log file location , input output table names , snowflake server etc.
  2. Open SAP Logon application . Enter SAP System name . Enter Login Credential from assets .
  3. Create a snowflake connection and run a query to get PO data
  4. Go to TCode - ME21N in SAP
  5. Enter details into SAP
  6. Create purchase order
  7. Save purchase order, get PO number from message bar
  8. Update PO number & success status in snowflake
  9. If purchase order not created , get error message from message bar & update in snowflake
  10. Repeat this process for each record.

The same process can be done using any other database such as MySQL or excel files.

The bot can be scheduled to run on a time using the Orchestrator or can be run on demand from the assistant by business users.
