Automate Hotmail accounts

Hello All, I would like to automate Hotmail accounts and validate contents inside the email for my testing. I have some email ids like abc@hotmail.com and need help to validate email contents. Has anyone automated hotmail accounts? Could you please provide all the details like which port number etc required to automate?

HI, I think I got the solution. below details I have used to automate the email.

IMAP server outlook.office365.com
IMAP port 993

|Authentication Method|OAuth2/Modern Auth|

these are the outlook related smtp details…if you have outlook you dont need smtp as well…can go with outlook activities…just fyi

Sometimes due to some authentication issue the Get Imap mail mesages does not work. Because of this my execution fails. Is there is any way if it tries again or let say if it fails after sometime it should still move forward with the execution?

You can use retry scope which will try again…give delay in retry so that it waits before retry

also can use try catch around those activities so that even if mail fails next activities will continue

HI @Anil_G , I have created Hotmail account for example- abc@hotmail.com and using “Get IMAP Mail Messages” activity to read the account mail messages. Initially for few days it was working fine and then intermittently it was throwing issue “Login Failed”. Now after few more days it totally stopped working and whenever I am using get imap mail messages activity to retrieve the mail it is throwing error login failed. Although by using the same id and password I am manually able to login to Hotmail account.

Can anyone suggest what could be the problem here as it was working initially and now stopped? Is it like Microsoft is checking behind the scenes if some kind of automation tool is trying to retrieve the data from the email so it is blocking it?
