Autocomplete methods/properties suggestions not appearing

Am not able to input methods after typing a object and . after it.
For example if I type text which is a string object and type . after it,it does not show the method/properties suggestion drop down menu.

As a workaround, did you try using Ctrl+Space key after the dot.?
