Assign Centre to users based on a group or list

I am using the Assign Tasks to Business User activity to assign Action Center tasks either to a business user group (e.g., AP Team) or to a list of business users. The activity completes successfully without any exceptions.

However, in both scenarios, the task remains in the Unassigned tab and is visible to all eligible users, instead of being visible only to the specified group members or the specified list of users.

My expectation is that when a task is assigned to a specific group or a list of users, it should not be visible to users outside of that assignment.

Is this the expected behavior of Action Center, or is there an additional configuration required to ensure that tasks assigned to a group or a list of users are visible only to those assigned users and do not appear under Unassigned for everyone else?

@MohammedShabbir

If tasks are going to Unassigned, it means they should be assigned to the respective users based on the current configuration. However, that is not happening.

Please check whether those users have the required permissions/access to be assigned the tasks.

Go to Orchestrator → Folders → Select your specific folder → Manage Access. Ensure your target business users or user groups are assigned to this folder with a role that allows managing or viewing actions

Hi @MohammedShabbir,

Task visibility in Action Center is primarily controlled by Action Center permissions and roles. Make sure to provide necessary permissions/roles to the business users, so that they are assigned with the tasks correctly.

Assigning a task to any specific business user does not automatically make the task invisible to other users who have permission to view tasks in that folder or queue. In general, Administrators have elevated permissions to monitor, manage and reassign tasks across the team. As a result, they can usually view tasks regardless of who they are assigned to.

Cheers!

Hi @MohammedShabbir,

Can you select the user, use the user’s email address, and check if task assigned correctly?

Also, share that snapshot.

Thanks

For an individual user, the task is assigned correctly and is visible only to that user. However, when using “All users in the group” or assigning the task to a business user group, the task remains in the Unassigned tab and is visible to all eligible users, rather than being restricted to the members of the specified group. Is this the expected behavior, or is there an additional configuration required to ensure the task is visible only to the assigned group members?

I fixed it by giving required folder access to Local group and by updating the Persistence package to 1.9.1. Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
