Asset credentials out of REST API Call

Hello guys,

I went through the forum to find a solution to my problem… maybe somebody has solved something like this in the past?

I am trying to obtain the Asset CredentialPassword out of a REST API call. I have been trying for a while… but it always comes empty.

Anybody was able to retrieve the Asset password though the API?

Hi everyone, I am trying to rename an asset using Orchestrator API. The problem is that end point for editing asset takes a whole asset dto and my asset is of type credential. Hence username and password need to be sent in the request. However when retrieve the asset, the API returns only the username and password field is empty. I saw that reply yesterday while searching for solutions… I wonder if that is an official reply. My assumption is that if the API is offering that field we should be able to retrieve it.

But anyway, thanks for pointing me to that conversation
