Array activity

I am trying to learn to save contents of specific column from an excel file, say column into an array variable. and use one bye column contents in tally application. how to use array activity.can anyone help me with the syntax please. Thank you.

Create one list of string variable and then use Add to Collection activity to add one by one value from column to this list.
