Hi @adext01 ,
Write Line → StudioX Output/debugging; Log Message → better choice for runtime/Orchestrator logging.
Thanks
Hi @adext01,
Yes, Write Line in StudioX is mainly used to write text to the Output panel during development/debugging, similar to using it for quick trace messages in Studio.
However, it is not the same as Log Message for production logging. If you want messages to appear in Orchestrator/Assistant logs, I would recommend using the Log Message activity and selecting the appropriate log level.
So, if the Write Line messages are not appearing in Assistant output, that is expected depending on how the process is executed. For production monitoring, Log Message is the better approach.
Hi @adext01,
In Log Message you can specify the severity of the Message by selecting the options in level drop down.
Write line is a Log Message with Trace Level severity.
Thanks!
Short answer: yes
In StudioX, Write Line is functionally the same activity as Log Message, just pre-configured to log at Trace severity, which is why it doesn’t show up where you’re looking.
Happy Automating!
