Welcome to the community

Do you mean upon clicking somwwhere does it open new tab? If so manually also does it happen?

Also are you using multiple use app/browser if so check the properties specifically around open which should be never except for the first one

Provide more details of the issue to have a clear picture

Cheers

@Mvoudo_bebetoo_tigana It looks like the new tabs may be triggered by the website notification itself, not by UiPath.

First, try the same scenario manually without running the automation. If the tabs still open when a notification comes, then it is browser/website behavior.

If it happens only during automation, check your Use Application/Browser activity and make sure it is attaching to the existing browser instead of opening a new one. Also check whether any other Use Application/Browser activity is getting triggered when the notification appears.

This should help identify whether the issue is from UiPath or the application itself.

Hi @Mvoudo_bebetoo_tigana ,

If you’re using Application/Browser activity in UiPath, first identify whether the new tabs are caused by:
Browser pop-ups/new tabs triggered by the website, or
UiPath clicking/triggering something unintentionally, or
A browser notification that opens a URL.

Try this first — Chrome/Edge browser setting
Before launching the website, configure the browser to block pop-ups/redirects.

Yu can use Chrome/Edge policies or browser settings to block pop-ups.

In UiPath, a more practical approach
If the website is opening tabs because of a notification, check whether you can disable the website notification:

Hello @Mvoudo_bebetoo_tigana , welcome to the community!

Please try this :-
Block notifications in the browser
Browser settings → Privacy/Security → Site Settings → Notifications → set to “Don’t allow” (or block that specific site)

Launch browser with notifications disabled
In your Use Application/Browser activity, add this as a command-line argument: --disable-notifications

Maybe you’re using multiple Use Application/Browser activities, please check their properties, it should be Never, except for the first one.

@Mvoudo_bebetoo_tigana first try the same notification manually without UiPath running.

If the browser still opens a new tab, then it’s coming from the website/browser notification. In that case I’d block notifications or pop-ups for that site.

If it happens only during the automation, check all your Use Application/Browser activities and make sure only the first one is allowed to open the browser. The others should attach to the existing instance instead of opening a new one.
