Text recognition and extraction is done using OCR. Currently the default is the not-so-great Microsoft OCR, but pretty soon we’ll release with GooGle Cloud OCR which is much better overall, and has this language support.

Question - not sure if it was asked before but couldn’t find in a search. If we want to use the following OCR engines - ABBBY (cloud or normal), Google Cloud, MS Project Oxford - will that require spinning up a subscription / environment at the client end, or will it be abstracted and cost absorbed by the UiPath CV server (i.e. baked into UiPath)? Keen to understand this.

Great new tooling, looked forward to start using it.
The Computer Vision Terms and conditions stop me from using it tho.

I’m not exactly sure what will be send, but i like to keep the personal information personal, especially when working for a client.
Is there a way to use CV without this automated data sharing? I love to help improve CV by submitting bugs reports or findings manually.

Hi @everyone,
I faced a few issues while installing AI Computer vision into UiPath the other day but at the end of the day I have figured it out. I did not find any videos which can guide us through the installation steps, so I made one by myself. If you have any doubts mention them in the comment section and I will surely try to help you guys.
P.S: This is my first video recording so I know it’s not perfect but it will get the job done.

Hi All,
Tried the computer vision and works wonderful. This is a game changer. However when i tried installing Ui Automation activities after i installed CV activities i am getting below errors
If i click yes and continue the i get following error
Anybody faced similar situation?

Check the installation steps, there’s no need to install UIA after the CV install, as long as you first remove the existing UIA before installing CV
