How to configure Disconnected Credentials Proxy Setup

Issue Description

The error "UiPath.OrchestratorCredentialsProxy.Extensions.WebApplicationExtensions OrchestratorCredentialsProxy failed to start due to invalid configuration" appears post installation, as shown below:

Resolution

Follow the steps:

  1. Execute the script below, in order to convert the certification into base64, and afterwards reference it in appsettings.production.json file:
$fileContentBytes = get-content 'C:\certificationame.pfx' -Encoding Byte

[System.Convert]::ToBase64String($fileContentBytes) | Out-File 'C:\output.txt'

  • "SerializedClientCertificate": "<ClientCertificate>", // must be ".pfx" as base64
  • "ClientCertificatePassword": "<ClientCertificatePassword>", // must be ".pfx" as base64
  1. Configure the "SecureStoreConfigurations" section using the parameter below, in appsettings.production.json file:

  1. Restart the Orchestrator Credentials Proxy application in the IIS.
