Adding a Cache-Breaker Query Parameter to Existing URLs Without Modifying the Base URL

I need assistance with modifying URLs by appending a cache-breaker query parameter without changing the original URL structure. For example, if the existing URL is www.sarkariresult.com, the requirement is to directly append a cache-breaker parameter such as ?cache=false, resulting in SarkariResult.com : Sarkari Result 2026 Official Website for Sarkari Results. I would like guidance on the best approach to add this parameter while preserving the original URL.

You can achieve by this approach.

Hi @sauravx.giri ,
In UiPath, the easiest approach is to append the cache-breaker parameter to the URL string before using it in the browser activity.

Example:

Modified URL:

Or if the URL may already contain query parameters:

If url.Contains(“?”) Then
newUrl = url & “&cache=false”
Else
newUrl = url & “?cache=false”
End If

Then use newUrl in your Use Application/Browser, Navigate To, or API request activity.

This preserves the entire original URL structure and simply adds the cache-breaking parameter at the end, helping bypass cached content and force a fresh page request.

Thanks

Hi @sauravx.giri,

You can check whether the URL already contains query parameters before appending the cache-breaker.

For example, in UiPath/VB:

If url.Contains("?"), url + "&cache=false", url + "?cache=false"

So:

  • https://www.sarkariresult.com → https://www.sarkariresult.com?cache=false
  • https://example.com?id=123 → https://example.com?id=123&cache=false

This way, the original URL is preserved and you only append the new parameter correctly.

Hope this helps!
