Add user to Orchestrator without a mailbox

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to add a user as an Automation Developer or even Administrator but with no access to his mailbox. I am trying to avoid the first automated mail you get that asks you to change your password for the first time.

Cordially,

Up, I really need help with this.

@loginerror If you could take a look into this issue

Thank you,

@Rooty

Yes you can…you can add local users also and give a dummy email

cheers

Hey @Anil_G

Thanks for the reply, could you provide me with a link describing how I can perform such an action, because when I navigate to Users in my dashboard I only have the possibility to add a new one via email (I can’t find the Add Local User) and he should validate it afterwards.

The user I want to add does not have access to his mailbox.

Cordially,

@Rooty

My bad the feature has been deprecated long back…it was available previously and now only ad users or users with email could access I believe

Cheers

@Anil_G

Exactly, that’s what I have noticed.

This is actually an issue for me, as I need to assign roles for a user that does not have access to his mailbox. I hope they find a solution for this in the current/upcoming versions.

Cordially,

Could you please share your use case? I don’t fully understand why you would want to do this.

We do have Robot Accounts though, which act as a user to allocate jobs to the machines. Would this be your use case?
