AD account for Robot

We are setting up a new RPA enterprise environment. Is there an industry standard approach for creating AD account for robots? Is it recommended to create robot like a user in HRMS and then in AD?

I think it depends on how your company is set up. We put ours in AD, but not into our HRMS. We had to get an exception as normally a new employee would require to be setup in HRMS, but since a robot isn’t a real person, having it in HRMS would screw up many other things such as headcount reporting, etc.
