Actions Older Than 30 Days Not Visible for Users Due to User ID Changes

Actions older than 30 days are not visible to a user

Issue Description

Actions older than 30 days are not visible for users who were deleted and re-added in Action Center on-premises. The username remains the same, but the user ID differs, causing tasks to remain assigned to the old user ID instead of the current active one.

Resolution

  1. Query to Identify the Deleted and Re-added Users:
To identify users whose tasks are associated with old user IDs, run the following SQL query:

    SELECT
      Id,
      TenantId,
      AuthenticationSource,
      Name,
      Surname,
      UserName,
      EmailAddress,
      IsDeleted
    FROM
      Users WITH (NOLOCK)
    WHERE
      TenantId = XXXXXXX
      AND IsDeleted = 1

Replace XXXXXXX with the specific Tenant ID to retrieve the list of deleted users.

Note: Ensure you query the Action Center On-Prem database using a database management tool such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

  2. Task Reassignment:
Manually reassign tasks from the old user ID to the new user ID using administrative privileges. This will ensure that tasks are visible and accessible to the re-added users.
