Action Center role assignment still cannot perform operation

Hello. Have recently set up new DU process which includes Action Centre tasks list and validations, set it up similarly to old Action Center workflow we have (assigning Action Center role to user, creating new catalogue, manage folder automation access permissions etc.) I myself (as admin) am able to assign tasks and validate correctly, but the new user in question can assign to themselves, do all the validations but when they click the final Submit - the attached error appears, “you are not allowed to perform this operation”.

I have tried numerous ways of adjusting the Action Center role and giving as much folder permissions like in attached screenshot as possibly required.

I have no issue adding user still to old Action Center process, but that one doesn’t have DU part to it, could this be the issue or what might I be missing to allow new users to be able to perform tasks for this new process?

Thanks

Hi @Aisling_Cahill ,

From your screenshot it looks like the folder role is very close, but Document Validation actions need a few specific permissions on that same folder. When they are missing, users can open and validate but get “you are not allowed to perform this operation” on Submit.

For the folder where the DU process runs, please edit the role assigned to this user and ensure it has at least these permissions (for a Document validation user):

Actions – View, Edit

Action Assignments – View, Edit

Storage Files – View, Edit, Create

Storage Buckets – View

These are exactly the permissions UiPath lists for validation users in Action Center and for Document Validation actions. After updating the role, ask the user to log out/in and try the same task again..the Submit should then complete without the authorization error.

Thank you that did the trick!
