Thanks … will try and update here
[Update]
Still the same issue… seems this does not go away
Any suggestions or workaround will be much appreciated…
stuck with this crap thing…
Can you try with any other folder? For example create one on desktop and try with it.
It seems to be an effect related to latest updates installed for windows 10. I ran the robot on windows 7 and the problem dind’t show up. Could UIPath Teams verify this? Many many thanks.
I have changed the directory, created a new one but same issue persists… I don’t want to go back and work again on my old laptop with windows 7 nor i don’t want to uninstall windows 10 from my laptop and get windows 7.
stuck in this mess now…!
I modified my process and added a step to create a directory folder , which is what i am now accessing in the process itself but again the process fails to access the folder which it has created in previous steps.
I have tried both:
- Already created folder
- Folder created within the process & then accessed
So do you mean that the folder was created by the sub-process by UiPath?
and is the folder in a shared directory?
Yes indeed , the folder is created by a sub process,Uipath
but what do you mean by shared directory. this directory created is on local and the process is executed locally.
Ahhh understood
Can you share the process and isolate where the error is coming from :?
I am able to save files only in UIPath process folders themselves.
I am able to save the files in the folder… It was some tweaking required in the process step where the path is specified.however the error which was thrown earlier for the access is not something one could relate with how the path is defined in the process…was kind of amused but it seems like this is now working.
you will need to give the whole path to where you want to access or save files to!!!
actually it was not just simply that…it was working only when i am providing the path with the filename combined.
Hi,
Yesterday only I have faced this error while working with excel. Its may be that Windows defender is not allowing the app to access the file or the location. For that go to windows defender & turn off the radio button corresponding to controlled folder access.
Hope this helps !
How did you resolve it. I am facing the same issue where I can’t save a file (outlook mail) but i can create or save a file to the same folder manually
please use complete path address where u want to save the file
In the folder path type this “folder path"+item.Subject+”.msg" then run your xaml. It worked for me, should work for you also.
Save Mail Message: The given path’s format is not supported.
