I tried to use the attach window to activiate a software, but the above message was received
good news!
I recreated your error (not intentionally). We are now officially in “the same boat”. Did you recently install/uninstall UiPath on your machine?
-will follow up once I figure out how to fix it
@anson are you using enterprise or community?
if you open a command prompt and enter:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\UiPath\Studio\UiPath\Regutil.exe” get-info
what do you see? If your license shows up please dont post it without covering the numbers!
I am newbie, just installed the programme in my pc and try to run the demo. how could I know I am using enterprise or community license?
no worries you are most likely using community. It IS possible to be connected locally using a community edition, in 19.10 that option is available in the installation screen. Regutil.exe would also allow you to register after install, but you can also connect your robot to the Orchestrator to consume a license. This method is typically more straightforward.
Could you please:
Open UiPath Robot
Right click on the Ui icon in the system tray
Click Orchestrator Settings
If you are connected and licensed to the Orchestraor your screen will look like this.
@anson final steps below!
**Click **Please follow the below steps to connect your robot to the Orchestrator when the Status does not say Connected, licensed
Navigate to UiPath (You can set up an orchestrator in under a minute!!
After verifying your email, log in at cloud.uipath.com
Your new orchestrator is available in the Services section (You now have 5 licenses! yay!
Click the Name in the services panel to access your Orchestrator
Navigate to Machines (left panel, bottom)
Click the Plus Icon (top right of screen)
Click on Standard Machine
Enter the name that appeared in the Orchestrator screen (Machine Name) and Click Provision
Navigate to Robots (left panel, bottom)
Click the Plus Icon (top right of screen)
Click Standard Robot
Select the Machine Name (added earlier in the Machines Page) in the Drop Down Menu
Enter a name in the name field
For Community Edition, you can select Attended (1), Unattended (1), or Studio (2) for licensing
Note1 - Studio License = Development License
Enter your domain\username (can be found by typing “whoami” in a command prompt)
Note2 - You only need to enter your password if you plan on using the Orchestrator to trigger the robot to start remotely
Click Create (here is a screenshot of what my settings looked like
Navigate to Machines (left panel, bottom)
Click More Actions (for the machine you added earlier)
Click Edit
Click Copy to copy your machine Key
Navigate Back to The Orchestrator Settings Screen and enter your Orchestrator URL and Machine Key
**Your Orchestrator URL is UiPath **
copy and paste everything up until “Machines”
Click Connect
If everything worked, the Status on the bottom should read "Connected, licensed
Restart UiPath Studio and you should be good to go!

Hi, My name is Rajesh.
- I have installed the UI Path Studio UiPath Community Edition version on 09/14/22,
- I have been using this for 2 weeks. Today there was a problem for some reason all my process, Sequences, Workflows which I created earlier are not working, hence I have uninstalled the UI Path Studio and Installed again.
3)Now, it is saying the message as “Local License is required”.
Questions:
- The free trial should be good for 60 days right from 09/14/22?
- Did the uninstall created this License issue?
Please help to resolve this issue. Thanks.
I also got the same error. Please support.
