A Local License is required issue while running nupkg package

Hi All,

We bought enterprise license of Studio… And right now we don’t have plan to buy license of attended or unattended bots for now as we are still in planning phase… For now, we will use local bot to automate some process to display the advantages to the team.
One of our teammates has requirement to automate one process on his system using web page… I have given him nupkg package… I have installed only robot in his system… now he will run the package using script… Using the local robot in his system.
what will be the best way to run this without having license related issues?
When he is running the nupkg using batch file it’s throwing " A local license is required "
How will I solve this issue
Does his bot also needs to be connected with orchestrator?

Thanks in advance

@davemitra

Did he install UiPath robot and it should be licensed, then only nupkg will run

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
Yes, he installed only robot not studio as in his machine bot will run only.
How will license the robot in his machine?
Do I need to connect with the orchestrator?

So, in future, if I do another automation in another system… For that also I need to buy a separate studio license?
I mean if i am doing automation in 3 separate machines… I need to install 3 separate robots in those machines and need to buy 3 separate studio licenses for it as well?

@davemitra

If you only want to run the package in any other machines, then you have get licensed with Unattended / Attended Bot licenses

Studio is not required until you need to develop

check below post regarding licenses

Mark as solution if this helps

Thanks

Thanks.
So in my scenario everything will be attended.
So say if I want to automate in 3 other machines how many attended licenses I need to buy

@davemitra

3 machines means 3 attended licenses are required

Thanks

Since you dont have the Orchestrator, then your license case will be these 2 options:
