401 Unauthorized when accessing the Orchestrator URL.

Root Cause: 401 Unauthorized happens when the request does not contain valid authentication credentials.

Troubleshooting steps of the error:

  1. Corrupted Browser Cache & Cookies
    1. Clear the cache and history from the browsers and try to browse the Orchestrator URL
    2. Try with different browsers to access the Orchestrator
    3. Try to access URL using incognito/Private windows.

  1. URL String Syntax
  • Verify the URL of the Orchestrator and try with actual URL example (https://orchestrator.com)

  1. Unauthorized due to ACL on resource
  • Verify any filters or rules are applied for IP / Machine / Network to restrict (Rewrite URL) in both UiPath Orchestrator website and IIS.

  1. Too many requests from the same client IP
  • Release and renew the IP using the ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew in command prompt and try to Hit the URL of the Orchestrator

  1. Access Denied
  • Access may be denied in network level or Orchestrator server level for client IP or hostname

  1. Verified the SSL Certificate
  • Verified SSL Certificate is valid in the client machine with all intermittent certificate.
