Reboot Your Skills Program - Introduce Yourself!

Hello everyone! :rocket: Welcome to the Reboot Your Skills program! We are so glad you’re here. Thousands of people around the world have signed up for this 4-week learning program :books: to learn how to build your first few bots with StudioX. As we get started, we’d love to learn a little more about everyone that’s joining us on this RPA learning journey. We’d love to know the following:

  • What’s your name?
  • What kind of work do you do?
  • Where are you based?
  • Why do you want to learn automation skills, or what are you hoping to automate?

I’ll go first - my name is Diana Morgan and I am a Regional Community Manager at UiPath. I run various programs for the UiPath Community such as meetups, webinars, hackathons, and all sorts of fun activities. I am based in Los Angeles, California where the west coast is truly the best coast. I want to learn more automation skills so that I am able to help fellow community members get started on their RPA Journey. A couple things I’m looking to automate - can we automate some parts of digital networking? More so I want to have a social media tracker to collect daily sources of new posts with the hashtag - #UiPathCommunity , so I can like and comment on our community’s content!

Comment below where you’re from, what you do, and what you’re most excited to learn about! Let’s meet each other as we go on this learning journey together! We’re going to get started with the program in just a few days… :white_check_mark:

Hello Rebooters

I’m Bianca, I’m from Romania, and I helped design and develop this learning journey you are about to embark on. Today, you might have in mind a couple of tasks that you want to automate, but I promise that by the end of this program you will see automation potential everywhere!

I’m going to give you some automation examples from the Reboot your Skills courses:

  1. To add the forum topics and the videos inside each course, we create an iframe. Basically, surround an URL with a piece of code. We use an automation for that, we give the URL to the robot, and receive the final code in return.
  2. Each member of my team is added as a collaborator to every course we create. This meant manually adding >15 email addresses. Now it’s done with just a click, thanks to StudioX.
  3. Before uploading the courses into the Academy, we export them from the development tool and edit the code. And of course, we automated this task!

So have fun, experiment, fail, try again, and succeed. The UiPath community is here to help. And if you want to share your learning progress with us and your friends on social, don’t forget to use the hashtag #RebootYourSkills

Happy Automation!

Hello Everyone,

I am Mayller Lopez from Philippines. I am working as Consultant/Developer for CMMS/EAM. Im using Powerbuilder as development platform. Im so glad that i’ll be joining this skill program. I got interested in RPA after I attended a briefing course on RPA and since i was very interested to learn more about RPA. Ever since I attended a lot of things comes to my mind that most of the process can be automated specially if the current system doesnt have system integration to do important tasks. Im hoping by attending this four week course it would broaden my knowledge in RPA and hoping to find new opportunity in RPA.
